Guernsey-Muskingum is actively involved in promoting our youth and the economic/community development of the area.
Each year, our scholarships support high school seniors and college students whose parents are members of the Cooperative. We sponsor two young adults to go with other rural electric youths to Washington, D.C. to learn about our political process. We support 4-H organizations by helping young campers build their own lamps and participating in project judging. Throughout the year we give safety demonstrations and informational speeches to audiences of all ages. If your student needs information for a class or science fair project, or your small group needs a speaker, please call our Member Services Department for assistance.
We encourage businesses to locate on our lines. Stable commerce will help our system. Selling more power while other costs remain about the same, can result in lower costs for everyone. We are active members in the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the New Concord Board of Trade.
