YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE COMPLETED BY PHONE WITH ONE OF OUR STAFF MEMBERS AND YOU NEED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR THAT CALL DURING YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME.

REQURIED DOCUMENTATION MUST BE SUBMITTED BY E-MAIL, FAX OR OTHER MANNER.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Contact: 740-617-1177 – Disaster Assistance Hotline for

applicants who have minor children under the age of 19 in the home OR 740-617-1183 for

applicants age 55 or older with no minor children in the home.

The Muskingum County Job and Family Services would like to announce the availability of

COVID-19 Disaster Assistance for residents of Muskingum County affected by the COVID-19

Pandemic. Households may be eligible for one-time assistance to use towards expenses related to

the COVID-19 Pandemic. This may include: Rent, Deposits, Utilities, Temporary Housing

Assistance, Mortgage payments, Car payments, Child Care payments and other expenses related

to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Applicants can apply over the phone beginning April 13, 2020 and will run until funds are no

longer available. Applications over the phone will be taken 7:30am to 3:30pm, contingent upon

funding. All applicants will be asked about their household income for the last 30 days for all

members of the household, social security numbers for all household members and their

household needs. Applicants must:

  •  Live in Muskingum County; and
  • Have dependent children under the age of 19; and
  • Household shall have been adversely affected by the emergency condition; and
  •  Meet the income guidelines as listed below.

OR

Applicants must:

  • Be age 55 or older and not have dependent children; and
  • Live in Muskingum County; and
  • Household shall have been adversely affected by the emergency condition; and
  • Meet the income guidelines as listed below.

ELIGIBILITY

Income eligibility is based upon 200% Federal Poverty Guidelines. Income received in the last

30 days prior to the date of application is required for eligibility determination.

1-844-320-3206 to make appointments call this number and the office will call you back. So please make sure you leave the right contact telephone number for them to contact you back. They will be calling you to let you know how to get your paperwork to them. It will either be by Fax, Email, Screen Shots or by the Drop Box at the office. If you do drop off your information at the Drop Box you will need to put the information in a envelope inside a zip lock bag. And the girls will get them as they are there. Please mark the envelope with your name and phone number.                                                                                Program ends 04/30/2020.

Assist in a $500 one-time payment to help people effected by this disaster. Please check out the website or call Job & Family Services to see what you would need to do to apply.

*PRC

Assists in a one time payment as long as you have gone to HEAP for assistances. If you have already used the PRC Voucher this year and need it again you may qualify for another one. They have released additional funds at this time. Please check out the website or call Job & Family Services to see what you would need to do to apply.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many HARCATUS programs have moved to teleworking or have limited all but essential human services. You can still make appointments by calling 1-855-806-9650. The Drop Box is available. You have to be in a Disconnect Status for this program. Program ends 04/30/2020.

If you have already applied and received assistance through HEAP this year you can not apply again.

You can also apply for State Heap until May 31,2020. You DO NOT need to be in Disconnect for this!!

PER WEBSITE : Agency is still open if you need to drop off items but please limit the trips you make to the offices and how many people enter the office. You can also mail any items you would normally drop off to the office. If you have questions or concerns during this time please call and speak with a case manager.
